Anne Marie Jakubiec: Adorable Owls Card Class Projects

Yesterday's Card Class To Go Event featured the Adorable Owls stamp set which was available during Saleabration. As this was such a favourite I decided to focus on this. I usually like to do a class with one of the Saleabration products after Saleabration ends to encourage my stamping friends to use their free set.

The Designer Series that was used here is also from Saleabration.

The Owl was coloured with Stampin' Blends ...Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Real Red and Balmy Blue for the eyes. I stamped the owl with Crumb Cake Ink before colouring. I used Gray Granite Something Fancy Dies to frame the owl.

Measurements for the layers.......

Soft Suede Card base 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4".
Calypso Coral layer is 5 1/4" x 4"
Rings of Love Designer Series Paper (retired) 5" x 3 3/4"
Dainty Delight Designer Series Paper (retired) 5" x 1/2"
Calypso Coral scrap is die cut with the Give it a Whirl dies (sm rectangle)
Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon approx 7"
Sentiment is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

This design is from a fellow Demonstrator Vi Tran "Crafting Daily Dose". I loved this layout so I Cased it from her. This would make a great baby card too!

I coloured the Owl with Stampin' Blends, Balmy Blue Gray Granite and Daffodil Delight for the beak and feet.
Starry Sky card base is 8 1/2" x5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Basic White layer is 5 1/4" x 4"
Enjoy The Journey Designer Series Paper is 5" x 3 3/4".
I die cut some Basic White cardstock and Vellum cardstock with the Basic Border Dies.
For the sun I die cut a 1 1/2" circle of Daffodil Delight with the layering Circle dies and cut a smaller circle to make the sun shape.
Basic White scrap is punched out with the Double Oval Punch and stamped in Starry Sky.
Embellish with Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

The Owls are perfect for this Slim Line card.

The card base is 7" x 8" scored and folded at 3 1/2"
Basic White layer is 7 3/4" x 3 1/4"
Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper 7 1/2" x 3"
Stamp the Owls on (2) 2"Basic White Layering Circle Dies.
Colour the Owls with Stampin' Blends Markers, Gray Granite,Daffodil Delight ,Balmy Blue and Bermuda Bay.
Layer the stamped circles on a Night of Navy scalloped circle die.
Stamp the sentiment from the Simply Fabulous stamp set in Night of Navy . Fussy cut the sentiment with your paper snips.

This fun fold card was inspired by fellow Demonstrator "Paula Barin"

She called this a reverse easel card.

The Gray Granite card base is 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 5 1/2" and 2 3/4"
The front layer is Gray Granite 3" x 4 1/2"
Dandy Designs Designer Paper layers are: 5 1/4" x 4", 4 1/4" x 2 3/4" and 4" x 2 1/2"
The Owl is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured with Stampin' Blends Markers, Gray Granite, Petal Pink Daffodil Delight , Bermuda Bay and Balmy Blue. Fussy cut the Owl.
Die cut 2 layers of Basic White with the Scalloped Contour Dies ................ the smallest rectangle and the 2nd smallest rectangle.
Add a Basic White 2 1/2" x 3 3/4" layer to the inside and add the small rectangle which is popped up with dimensionals at the bottom.
